The annual edition is the culmination of HIFF’s work—not the only moment in which that work can matter.
HIFF may present filmmaker conversations, workshops, community screenings, emerging-talent activity and institutional collaborations on separate dates throughout the year. These activities will have their own identities, access rules and confirmed information so they are never confused with the official 2027 festival schedule.
No year-round event is currently announced. The framework below explains how a coherent cycle can serve filmmakers and audiences without creating constant programming for its own sake.
